The Beach House in Port Dover

Good tasty food and excellent service

With this amazing location, and the great food they serve, it’s all what you ask for. While covid is still around, staff take every measure to keep us safe. Final note. We were not charged for my son pizza because it came out wrong first, but that was quickly chAnged with another. We loved the place.

The Beach House is a great stop for a sit down meal with a beautiful view. The food and service has always been great each time I visit.

A wonderful place to eat and drink, directly at Lake Erie. You can't sit closer to the water. The dishes are creative and full of ideas. Everything we ate tasted very good. The staff was friendly. The order was received quickly. The food and drinks were served quickly. It is advisable to make a reservation. For dessert I recommend pumpkin ice cream, unique!

Fantastic location! A phenomenal gluten free optional menu and don't get me started on the Mussels!!! Cold beer and a spectacular view!

Great view and location, not as great customer service. We waited around 15-20min to have the waiter greeting us at the table. She didn't bring any water, did not know what was the drink of the day (which was written in the entrance). When we asked about the beer options, she said she didn't know all options so we asked the drinks menus, again, she replied they didn't have enough menus for customers, leaving us without much options. It looked like she was not happy on having to serve people. When we got the food it was pretty good but for dessert, another negative impression of the restaurant.We ordered the "raspberry and blue velvet cheesecake that had chunks of cake". It's not a cheesecake at all, big piece of red velvet cake with just some small chunks of cheesecake. Good but definely not what we were expecting.Hope they improve the level of service, we waited around 40min for a table and was very unfortunate that we had that waitress.

Great place to enjoy a meal by the water! Their patio has two sections, one on the sand and the other on a deck all with umbrellas and comfortable chairs! COVID-19 cleanliness standards are very high! In between customers the disinfect both table and all chairs. Try the fried calamari, it was fantastic! The jerk walleye was very succulent, however the portion of fish was very small! However, the fish and chips beer batter was great! Definitely a must try if your in Port Dover!

Quick seating, great food, awesome prices, great selections.

Can't beat Dover for dinner. Great restaurant on the beach with view of the lighthouse and Long Point and everything in between ! Fantastic staff! I'm a regular here. Had a hankering for that Erie Perch last night and it was perfect, as usual :). Cannot go wrong with 1 1/2 pounds of perfectly battered fish. All their meals are good portion size and are well presented asthetically. There's a reason this restaurant has been here for so long..... Don't wait to find out why.

Today, the kitchen staff, the server Jake, all 5 star. Definitely worth the hike from Hamilton. Taco Tuesday, shrimp, chicken, beef and of course Lake Erie perch taco's a must.A micro brew pitcher, topped it off. Scenery ideal. Haven't had such a great experience at a restaurant in a while.

Our table was very happy with our Menu items. Beef Po'Boy, Halibut on a Bun & 2 of us had the Reubens. I haven't had a Reuben that tasty in a very long time. We'll be back!!!

Great place for bite to eat and to enjoy being on the lake. Food was good, you got what you paid for, service was very good and the view was excellent. A nice spot to have a relaxing bite to eat and a drink.

Great place for a nice evening out at the beach for some fish and chips

Fish and chips (fries) go hand and hand. I enjoyed the perch fish but the fries are a disappointment. If they made fresh cut fries meal would be a home run.

Great food, service could have been better.

Staff helped to make my Canada Day birthday and memorable one! Fast service, attentive service and good portions. The dine-in wasn't operable but not a worry. The patio tables were laid out a good distance and there was lots of shade. I enjoyed the lobster crab grilled cheese and fries ;) I'll be back!

I love the perch lake dinner, it's a nice place with view to lake, very friendly waitresses,one my favorite restaurant in Port Dover.

Contrary to other reviews, our service was great. The view on the patio is amazing and the drinks and dessert selection are good. Sticky toffee pudding was delicious! Our meals were mediocre. Salad basically came from a bag with fresh strawberry slices on top...would not recommend the kale salad.

Lovely setting for an evening meal. We enjoyed the perch dinner on the deck. A beautiful sunset on the beach (complete with palm trees!) Can't wait to go again!

Portions are large. A small salad was big enough for both myself and my husband to share. Drinks are tasty. The perch is their specialty for sure

The best spot in Port Dover to enjoy the view. Try the Lake Erie Perch fish and chips. You will love it. Lots of inside seating and they have a patio if you want to sit outside. The beach is right there, this restraunt is the closest thing to the beach. It's basically ON THE BEACH.
